What area does Sunset Coast Trolley serve?
We serve all of southwest Michigan. Cities like St. Joseph, New Buffalo, Benton Harbor, South Haven, Dowagiac, Coloma, Niles, Buchanan, and other cities in the Southwest part of Michigan. Our outer range is as far south as the Indiana border, and as far north as South Haven, as far east as Kalamazoo.
How far in advance should we book our trolley, and how do we do it?
Usually wedding transportation bookings are made between 8 to 14 months in advance of your wedding date. However, inquire now to see if your date is available. Summer dates sell out faster. Many couples decide on their wedding date based on trolley availability. Plan ahead to ensure you have unique wedding transportation like the Sunset Coast Trolley.
What if we need additional package time on the trolley?
No problem. We usually only book one transportation charter per day, so we are usually able to service your needs completely. If you need more time, it can be purchased at anytime (if available).
However, do take note that we only have 1 wedding trolley and it has become extremely popular. This has required us on some occasions to do more than one event each day.
How long will we need the trolley for on our wedding day?
The average time a couple books the wedding trolley is usually between 3 and 6 hours.
Are there seat belts on the trolley?
No. Like many other forms of public transportation (school buses, buses, trains, etc.), seat belts are not required in the State of Michigan.
Can we bring alcohol onto the trolley? Absolutely!
You are welcome to bring a cooler with alcohol, water, or any beverage of your choice for your guests. We do ask that you use cans/plastic ware.
What happens if it rains on the date of my wedding?
Our trolley is fully capable of being enclosed with roll down sides so it is always comfortable on the trolley.
Does the trolley service winter weddings and special events?
Yes, the trolley has a heater and hard glass slides that fully enclose the trolley.
Can the trolley travel on highways and expressways?
Yes! However, the trolley travels at a slower speed so we like to allow a little more time than if you were driving a car.
Does the trolleys service allow multiple stops?
Yes, many of our bridal parties and corporate events enjoy the downtown area, local beaches and parks. The Sunset Coast Trolley Company will make as many stops at downtown landmarks or requested places for those “pictures of a lifetime”. Please keep in mind that due to special events in the downtown area, additional time may be required to visit the locations you select due to events, crowds and traffic.
